492. I'm sorry, Mariano*.

I'm stamping postcards announcing my little showroom sale. As I stamp, I scan the address labels for glaring errors.

So far, so good. Only I've spelled Vallejo incorrectly. Typos, actually, as I do know how to spell Vallejo--it's a nearish city that is home to some of my cousins.

Poor Vallejo! I've spelled it:

Vellejo
Vallego
Vellajo

I jokingly call Vallejo, Valley-Ho.

Why?

Vallejo is pronounced val-ay-hoh. For some reason, it reminds mean that I like the ring of the word heave-ho, and how often does one get a chance to say "heave-ho!"? Not too often.

..............
*Isn't Mariano a nice name? The city of Vallejo is named after General Mariano Guadalupe Vallejo.

I was updating my blog as you left this comment! I have the proper pronounciation written out now, but please feel free to call it what you wish--just not late to dinner.
