765. It's a sweet 17°C/63°F.

It's been a very good day. But before I go into any details, I'd like to share the panoramic view from my apartment window:

Today is Wednesday, and on Wednesdays Siena has a huge market where you can buy anything from clothing to cheese graters to stockings to fresh fruits and veggies to shoes to household cleaning products to... well, you get the idea. Me, I go for the cinghiale panino. It's my Wednesday Noon Tradition. The wild boar sandwich is delicious and a steal for only €2.50. For 50 cents more, you can get a huge bag of fries that taste like they've been fried with rosemary and garlic. Super yum. Today, I settled on the sandwich only.

On my mind today was how to make some serious money. I want to buy a bike, new stylish clothes, a house in the countryside, some hangers, and a new pillow. One idea was to park my ever growing JLo behind (thank you SO much, gelati, formaggi, and vini--you bastards!) in Piazza del Campo and sell portraits to tourists. Mine, however, will be original: portraits of my paying clients in their stick figure likeness. (Inspiration for this genius idea comes from one of my favorite blogs, Check Engine Soon and its predecessor Moral Turpitude.)

Talk about luck--good for me and bad for somebody else--I found an ID-less billfold that contained several hundred euro. Not enough to buy me a fancy villa in Siena, or Louisville even, but certainly enough for a used bike, some hangers and a new pillow with money left over to buy new stylish socks or panties.

Sweet.

You make the "cinghiale panino" sound delicious. I wonder if I kind find some here in Nova Scotia?
