I do know from experience--living in Europe for four months last year only doing the occasional design job that came my way from back home-- not-working is not all that it's cracked up to be. We are productive creatures. We like to keep ourselves busy with meaningful work. Even unmeaningful work is far better than no work.
Still. I've just arrived in this enchanting city nestled in the breathtaking splendor of Tuscany--I want to wander, bike ride, take picnics, lounge in outdoor bars (weather permitting, of course!), etc, etc, etc...
Did I tell you how amazing the food here is? Well, the food here is amazing. For €3 I had the best sandwich in my life and probably in your life. Cinghiale is wild boar and it is heaven even when smacked between two halves of a loaf.
I really think I found a place that I can call home. I don't ever want to leave.
What an amazing feeling.
