I'm in the Elephant region of Siena (the best region, as far as I'm concerned and not that I'm biased or anything). The 17 Contrades or city wards (I'll also refer to them as districts or regions, out of habit) are each represented by an animal. The contrades compete twice a year in the famous horse race called "Palio di Siena".
Sorry to cut this short, but I'm off to find a job. I hope I have even half the luck I've had in finding this apartment.
