No? Well, if you don't mind, I'll pretend the answer is yes. :)
This picture points to an answer, although it doesn't tell the whole story:
Yes, I did stay up late and attempted suitcase excess purge. I unpacked one sweater and one skirt. I also unpacked one pair of shoes, only to repack the pair, because on second thought, I might need both my brown AND black sandals.
During mid-purge I checked the Chicago and Madison weather forecasts (again). Thunder storms were still expected. Boots are probably really nice to have during thunderstorms. Especially Italian boots purchased in Paris. Besides, their feelings would've been hurt if I left home without them.
You know what? I actually wore all of my shoes on the trip! I'm living proof that you can never pack too many pairs of shoes.
In my shoes' defense, I did pack my garment bag into my oversized suitcase. It costed me $50 in a overweight penalty to do so. For the trip back home I opted for carrying 2 pieces of semi-heavy bags instead of one super heavy bag. It was more cumbersome, but I saved $50.
Moral of the story? There is none.
Stay tuned for fun with Cheese Curds!

Those were very stylish shoes. They deserved to go on vacation with you.
Tonya: Thank you. They liked you, too.
(Oh, my comment sounds weird.)
I can tell you guys how she was able to wear all of those shoes:
Multiple wardrobe changes.
I'm not saying, I'm just saying.
