On my walk around the Lake today, I heard for the first time clearly the lyrics to Jeff Buckley's song, New Year's Prayer.
It was an almost liberating experience. (I felt this a few times before while meditating. No, I mean, while I was sitting next to somebody else who was meditating. Contact experience. Easy to achieve, contact enlightenment... much like a contact high.)
The abridger:
Fall in light,
Feel no shame for what you are
Stand absolved behind your electric chair, dancing
Past the sound within the sound
Past the voice within the voice
Leave your office
Run past your funeral
Leave your home, car
Leave your pulpit
Join us in the streets where we don’t belong,
You and the stars, throwing light
Hey. I posted lyrics. I don't do that. This post is a figment of your imagination.

That song was the theme to the first few seasons of TV's The Dead Zone. The snippet they used concentrated on the "Feel no shame for what you are" part. I don't think I've ever heard the whole thing.
Neel: I don't know what you're talking about! Are you leaving a comment for a post that's a figment of your imagination?
They cut out the best line of the song in my opinion: Stand absolved behind your electric chair, dancing
Oh, the whole thing is good. I hope you get a chance to listen to it.
