It's been just over a month since my last post, and I have terrific news: I'm moving to Florence!
Tomorrow I will be visiting the city for the first time to scope out apartments, language schools, and to get a feel of the place. Something tells me my excitement will not be disappointed.
Why haven't I been blogging? Good question. When I finally have time and the urge to write a post--usually after 11 p.m.--the internet cafés are closed. Time has been a limited resource between work, friends, my Italian studies, and writing a children's book (more about that later). So, a must for my next apartment is internet access.
The Alpini were in town two weeks ago. They are known for their love of drink, women, and general run of the muck merriment.
For Christmas (hint, hint!) I want an alpini hat. I can send you my address.
