Pondering over causality (broadly and in a general sense) with my lunch companion today, I posed what I thought to be a standard rhetorical question.
My friend's puzzled face made me realize what I'd actually said.
"It's the old which-came-first-the-apple-or-the-egg."
Oopsie.
Still another fine question. Indeed.

Apple!
You're both wrong.
Are you saying they both arrived at the same time? Hmmm? I never thought of that, always thought it was either-or!
Let's just say it was a photo finish. Too bad that the camera came after the apple and the egg.
Too bad, and lucky for you since we'll have to take your word for it. ;)
