Still getting ready for my trip to Jenner. I'm a slow leaver...
One more thing I realized about myself in my acquaintance with the old crazy Russian woman I wrote about in the previous post:
I think it's best to be direct in communication, and I can limit my interactions with people who are incapable of communicating in a healthy way--bad or good feelings.
I always felt like I had to read between the lines when talking to her. I hate that. I even prefer bluntness. I always felt like saying, "What are you trying to say?" But I just did what I always do: just take things at face value. Life is so less complicated that way. Don't you think?
................
Our friends in Washington D.C. should heed this, too. Just say what you need to say (simply and straightforward) and get on with it. It's difficult, but you feel so much better after all is said and done. Kinda like strenuous exercise.
................
Have a great week! Until next time...

"Talking to her was like hacking though a jungle."
I believe that is from a Beryl Bainbridge book, but I can't be bothered to actually get off my fat ass and go look it up. It's true either way.
I totally feel you on cutting out people who consistantly bring negativity into your life... Sometimes it's painful, but it's less painful than living with them.
AJ: Great quote and so true!
SG: So true, too! Goblins are wise.
