552. Don't feel bad.

I have a soft spot when it comes to the unwanted. They pluck at my heart strings like a professional cellist.

Children in orphanages are at the top of my list. Next are pets in the pound. Way down the list are the 3 brussel sprouts sitting in the serving bowl when the dinner dishes are begging to be done.

Of course, there are no absolutes--even (more accurately, especially) in my heart. I feel slightly less sorrow for the cute four year old orphaned girl with golden ringlets, clear eyes of blue, and pouty lips, and a great deal more for the mangy, feral three-legged cat.

I have no doubt that this orphan will soon find loving adoptive parents:

The cute child equivalent for highways: Highway 1. She runs up California's beautiful coast. Plus, she is good spirited and plays well with others.

Bryan: I can't promise that the sheep are very well behaved. In fact, they can be downright baaaaaaaad. Their mother was killed by a butterfly, or so I'm told.
