I took this photo a few weeks ago. It made me chuckle. I knew that the sign indicated that the rose garden beyond was the wedding site and not the sidewalk.
Although the rose garden is quite beautiful, I was skeptical that anybody actually got married there. Besides, I've been walking in and through the garden for a few months now and never seen anybody exchanging vows or kisses.
Last weekend in the late afternoon, I shared the garden with a few friends. Lo and behold! A wedding party!
It became obvious to me why I've never seen a wedding at the garden. My garden walks usually start around 7 or 8 in the morning. Evidently, this is not the most popular time of day to get married.

duh. ;-) I think sidewalk weddings would be much more inventive.
