Distractions are fine... as long as I'm not one.
I just got back from seeing a play with some acquaintances. I keep forgetting that I don't like hanging around them. He mistakes cynicism for deep thinking, she is deeply unhappy, they don't communicate well with each other, and I feel like I got invited along as a distraction for the latter problem.
Whoa! Do you feel that? I think I just vented.
I love my blog. It's there for me to vent my frustrations and broadcast it out for the whole wide world. Thank you, whole wide world, for listening.

I've been that distraction for others as well and it's strangely flattering and yet definnitely something I try to avoid...
