If what they say is true about crickets bringing good luck, I'm in for a ship-load of good luck!
This cricket was friendly. She introduced herself by hopping up onto my leg. I put her on my arm and she stayed for a while.
I eventually got a little creeped out and set her down for the tea pot picture. I thought she looked prettier there.

The sound of crickets is commonly used to indicate that you are all alone. It's the audio equivalent of a blowing tumbleweed.
I did miss the joke, but I know it all too well.
In fact, I hear some now.
Yeah, that's subtle humor, starting with understanding that " *crickets* " means "the sound of crickets."
