For the third time in 2 months, I was stood up this morning by a friend. Three different people, three different cafés, three different days. Is it me?
What's so difficult about writing down an appointment on a calendar?
I'm going to have to become one of those people that calls and confirms the day before a meeting. That bothers me, but I guess I'll get over it.

Or one of those that calls the day after and lays on a nice, thick, buttery guilt trip!
Janelle, here's a tip for you that transformed the experience of getting stood up for me. Take either a sketchbook or a journal with you, and treat it like a special date with yourself. I now occasionally look forward to the time when someone forgets a lunch. I'm one of those people who has my lunches booked for a couple weeks in advance, so I welcome the solitude. :-)
That's how I did the drawing of "Tea" for Illustration Friday!
OM-- That works, too!
Rrr-- I spend plenty of time by myself. I need to in order to keep what little sanity I have left. I'm still going to get pissed and feel hurt when people are flakes. I deserve better than to be stood up.
Yes you do. :-) My tip wasn't to let them off the hook, for sure.
And sanity is so overrated.
I shall do my best to always let you know ahead of time when I will be standing you up!
Oh no! That was Sleep Goblin's comment! Stupid DS computer...
For a moment there I felt like a damsel in distress!
