Some people enjoy hobbies such as needlepoint, golf, or shooting friends with pellets meant for quail. At the top of my favorite hobbies list is working in the lawyer's office on Tuesdays. (Only I went in yesterday instead of today.)
Research, writing letters, and answering the phone are some of my duties as a "legal assistant".
Yesterday was more of an investigation/research day, and I spent many hours on the web gathering information about a couple of people with Russian names.
I can't tell you how many Russian Mail Order Bride sites Google pulled up. (I guess nowadays they would be referred to as Russian Internet Order Bride sites.)
Many years ago I caught an Oprah show featuring attractive single Alaskan men. Apparently the Alaskan frontier is suffering from a shortage of women. Who knew?
(I bet you know where I'm going with this.)
How's this for new market in the dating service business world: Pairing up Russian (want to be) Brides and lonely Alaskan men. Think about it, the Brides wouldn't need an acclimation period for the tough Arctic climate, and the men, well, I don't think the language problem would be much of one.
