Over the course of 5 days I've increased my musical library 35.5%. That's 2710 songs from 2000.
Thanks to a pay-per-song-or-album site (10 cents/song or 10% off purchase of complete album) I've rediscovered my old favorites:
Bonnie Raitt
Simon & Garfunkel
Journey
Cyndi Lauper
Boy George
The Carpenters
Tina Turner
OMD
Janet Jackson, Rhythm Nation 1918
Neil Diamond
80's Madonna
etc.
My already large collection of The Smiths, Depeche Mode, Barbara Streisand, U2, etc. has even been expanded. (For example: U2--I didn't know they had an album called The B-sides.)
I've avoided the share-sites for many reasons; the main one being I am one of those freaks who believes artists should get paid for their work. (I hope the site I found is on the up-and-up. They claim to pay royalties and follow a law called "Fair Law".)
In order to balance my desire to share information and have quick music download time, I'm not posting the link here. Send me an e-mail, and I'll send you there.
