I've wanted to feature a Tori Amos song since the inception of my new little feature which is now a whole whopping 2 weeks and 2 days old.
Tori Amos is one of the most brilliant lyricists and song writers around. If you disagree, well then, there is nothing much I can do about that. Is there? Maybe I'll simply push you off a lovely ocean-facing cliff the next time I see you.
I'm sitting at home, sipping freshly made chai tea, and this song is playing. Who wouldn't love a song in which angels, cigars, leather, and the weather are all discussed with such sultry self pity? (I don't have to remind you of that cliff, do I?)
Tori Amos - Leather
Look, I'm standing naked before you
Don't you want more then my sex?
I can scream as loud as your last one
But I can't claim innocence
Oh, God,
Could it be the weather?
Oh, God,
Why am I here
If love Isn't forever
And it's not the weather?
Hand me my leather
I could just pretend that you love me
The night would lose all sense of fear
But why do I need you to love me
When you can't hold what I hold dear?
Oh, God,
Could it be the weather?
Oh, God,
Why am I here
If love isn't forever
And it's not the weather?
Hand me my leather
I almost ran over an angel
He had a nice big fat cigar
"In a sense," he said, "you're alone here
So if you jump, you best jump far"
Oh, God,
Could it be the weather?
Oh, God,
Why am I here
If love isn't forever
And it's not the weather?
Hand me my leather

Tori Amos is by far my most beloved musical artist.
Are you seriously moving to Kentucky, or are you just messing with me?
You have such good taste, and I'm not saying that because Tori is your most beloved artist, too.
Well, maybe I am. :)
Yes, I am moving to KY!
